Today, the Polis for Colorado campaign issued the following statement from spokesperson Amber Miller regarding opponent Heidi Ganahl’s refusal to participate in two statewide broadcasted debates hosted by 9News, Colorado Politics, KRDO Colorado Springs, KKCO/KJCT Grand Junction and KOB4 Four Corners, and by Denver7, the Denver Post and Colorado Public Radio.
“One thing is clear: Heidi Ganahl does not want to be held accountable for her wildly out-of-touch, extreme views on Colorado statewide broadcasted news. From the beginning of her campaign, Ganahl has avoided critical questions, blamed Colorado’s media and spent her time campaigning with conspiracy theorists and election deniers. After a week of spinning up wild conspiracy theories and shaming kids, Colorado has seen enough of Ganahl doing anything to justify her extreme positions.
“Leadership is showing up and answering the tough questions. The Polis campaign will be abundantly clear, as we have from the get-go. Governor Polis has committed to 11 debates and forums from Pueblo to Yuma to Grand Junction, and he looks forward to presenting his ideas to voters for how we can move Colorado forward together.”
