Our bodies, our choices

We see it in the news every day. Republicans are trying to close down Planned Parenthood, the Trump administration is moving to make birth control unaffordable for millions of women, and right here in Colorado, radical groups are pushing laws to stop women from exercising our constitutional right to choose.

Jared has spent years standing up to extremists to defend our right to make our own health care choices. It’s one of the reasons I’m proud to head his campaign. As governor, I know he’ll be there to defend and expand Coloradans’ access to reproductive care and support caregivers.

Today Jared has put forward a bold vision in the governor’s race to expand reproductive freedom.

Jared will ensure all women have the legal and economic freedom to decide when and if to start a family. He will fully fund the Long-Acting Reversible Contraception program. And he will make sure every Coloradan has access to a quality medical center that offers a full slate of reproductive health services.

Around the country, access to safe, affordable reproductive health care is under attack, and we should all agree that there’s something wrong with a government that removes a woman’s control of her own health and body one day and then heartlessly slashes funding for child care the next.

As governor, Jared has a plan to expand access to quality reproductive health care for women and their families. And Jared will stand strong against all attempts — by Donald Trump or by anybody else — to restrict a woman’s ability to make her own health care decisions.
