Additional sources below to quote concerning platform issues highlighted in today’s announcement are comments made by policy experts, and not endorsements of any particular candidate for governor:

On Energy Independence:

“I applaud Jared’s bold and attainable vision to make our state 100% renewable by 2040. With communities like Aspen and Pueblo already on board, clean renewable energy will save people money on their utility bills while creating green energy jobs in Colorado that can never be outsourced.”

-Jim Alexee Director of Colorado Sierra Club

On Employee-Owned Businesses:

“Colorado is leading the way in creating a more profitable, productive and equitable environment for our workforce. Jared Polis’s plan to further lift the barriers to setting up employee-owned businesses is not only good for our state’s employees, it’s also great for our economy.”

– Halisi Vinson Executive Director Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center

On Education:

“ Studies have shown investing in full day preschool and kindergarten results in greater achievement gains and improved social and emotional skills among students. Jared Polis’s goal for all preschool and kindergarten-aged students to have full day education ensures Colorado’s kids are set-up for success.”

-Angelika Schroeder, Chairwoman of Colorado State Board of Education
